Our recently refurbished premises include extensive facilities designed to accommodate multi-cubicle suites of control panels. These are supported by modern, well equipped offices running state of the art CAE and CAD software. Having a clear understanding of current ATEX and CE legislative standards is an essential requirement for all panel manufacturers.

DB Controls proactive staff training ensures that specifications and manufacturing techniques are maintained to the required regulatory standards.

Customer Support

Capability and experience to provide full installation services for integrated systems is offered under a variety of contract terms, including design of cable schedules, cable runs, tray-work plus specialist capabilities including intrinsically safe and LV/HV power distribution.

Commissioning

Engineering staff provide the expertise necessary to support all levels of commissioning regardless of where systems are located. These highly experienced engineers are fully aware of the specific requirements and working standards within various industries. Post commissioning services include service maintenance contracts.

Training

Operators require training in the intricacies of sophisticated systems. Training courses, either at the customer’s premises or at the company’s base, are tailored to suit you exact needs and purposes. All courses are handled professionally, utilising visual aids and "hands - on" training backed by course manuals.

Instrumentation

The company now exploits state of the art CAE, CAD and Relational Database software, which enable it to provide high quality designs and specifications both quickly and cost-effectively. The use of graphical database technology in particular reduces the effort (and therefore cost) of late design changes. An added benefit of using DB Controls for instrumentation design is that all details in the database can be passed to the client on completion of the project - invaluable for maintenance and further developments.

Much of the project work carried out by DB Controls in recent years has been on HAZARDOUS AREA plant, and consequently the company is well versed in INTRINSIC SAFETY and all other techniques for hazardous area equipment.

Installation

In offering its installation service DB Controls is able to draw upon many years of experience in the control and instrumentation and electrical fields throughout the UK covering the full spectrum of process industries. This has led to an intimate knowledge of a very large range of systems and equipment, as well as all the relevant standards, codes of practice and legislation related to an industrial practice.

The company has built a reputation with its client base for providing a professional, sufficient installation service with the ability to consistently meet the most demanding cost quality and schedule targets. DB Controls Site Managers and Staff are fully trained and able to manage CDM issues, and are fully conversant with risk assessments and method statements. A number of our staff is also PTS trained for railway work.
