TBA Leicester are part of a multi-national group of companies and promotes a creative and dynamic work environment, right now we are recruiting a Deployment Software Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis in Leicester.

Some deployments outside of standard working days (evenings and weekends), post go-live support (including OOH) will be required.

What are we looking for?

You will be involved in deploying and configuring our Autostore Warehouse Management software into our QA and customers’ environments.

  • ITIL Awareness
  • Experience of supporting bespoke applications, with the mentality to think outside the box
  • Proficiency in software engineering tools, ability to document requirements and specifications
  • Experience of troubleshooting/supporting technologies such as C, C#, Pro-C, Python, SQL, Oracle database, Jaspersoft, vue.js
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • The role will involve regular contact with our customers, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key
  • An understanding of IT hardware is a definite advantage

    Key Responsibilities

  • End to end application install including third parties software installation for our WMCS software
  • Adherence to IT standards, processes and procedures
  • Ensure all releases are working correctly before user sign off including interfaces, client and  RDT’s
  • Maintaining the standard deployment scripts and checklists to ensure the runbooks for each change request are approved
  • Implement and quality test newly built environments
  • Creating and Maintaining project documentation in accordance with TBA standards & guidelines
  • Post release triaging with the customer and troubleshooting in preparation for customer’s formal testing 
  • Execution of all Deployment Acceptance tests covering installation, connectivity, and basic operation
  • Becoming an expert on the product installation process, to include commissioning with mechanical equipment (cranes and conveyors)
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Coordinating with developers and product owners, as needed to achieve the successful installation
