Here at TBA Group, Leicester we are recruiting a Senior Project Manager our Warehouse Management System (WMS) & Automation team. Are you an individual who has demonstrable experience of delivering high quality customer-facing and internal projects, and you enjoy the challenge of delivering complex software project implementations, then this is the role for you!
We are proud to have a truly global customer base who operate across logistics, warehousing, terminals and ports, many of which are blue-chip and are based here in the UK as well as globally, by having similar experience from a customer base perspective is preferred.
To be successful in this role we're looking for candidates who have previous experience in a project management role, ensuring disciplines and techniques are adopted on all assigned projects in order to meet or exceed the time, budget and quality expectations of all project stakeholders. As this role has a number of direct reports, having line management experience is also required as well as taking an active role on the coaching & development of their team.

What are we looking for?

You will ideally hold a 2:1 BSc Honours Degree, or higher, in an appropriate subject or have equivalent industry experience.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Programme management and accountability for projects from Initiation to BAU (including budget management) for Key Customer Accounts
  • Identify, assess, and raise project risks & issues (escalate where deemed appropriate)
  • Develop contingency plans, manage customer expectations, ensuring that customers (internal/external) are aligned and informed
  • Deliver monthly project status update to customer leadership team
  • Provide Monthly & Quarterly project status reporting to internal senior management (risks, issues, budget)
  • Ability to manage across 3 to 4 inflight projects for new and existing customers
  • Facilitate project workshops and support the commercial team in quote preparation
  • Mentor, manage and motivate project resources both internal and external whilst recognising and managing differing skill sets, performance and conflicts.
  • Set challenging goals & objectives for direct line reports and provide feedback for team member performance reviews.
  • Support the Business Line Lead in leading and developing the WMS & Automation business line.
  • Provide management escalation cover for the OOH service rotas
  • Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of complex software project implementations.
  • Experience of managing IT projects and/or warehousing/logistics systems and implementation, including project proposals, business cases, project schedules, financial justification etc.
  • Experience of using formal project management methodologies such as PRINCE2
  • Experience of working with software development teams using methodologies such as Scrum/Agile
